Facilitate high quality, research into the structures, processes and outcomes related to patient quality and safety.
Receive proposals for research from member hospitals, and facilitate identification of multi sites as applicable.
Foster links with academic and other research facilities.
Provide oversight to ensure: all research projects are conducted in a scientifically robust manner; is conducted responsibly, ethically and in the interests of the wider community.
Facilitate and promote research by providing mentoring and learning opportunities to CAHO member organizations.
Identify opportunities for publishing and recognising completed research projects, including a CAHO journal, or in other journals and forums.
