The QUALIPS – IIPHG Fellowship in Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety is a unique capacity-building initiative designed to develop future leaders in patient safety and healthcare quality improvement. The fellowship combines structured learning, mentorship, practical project implementation, and scholarly output to equip healthcare professionals with the competencies required to lead patient safety initiatives within their organizations.
The program emphasizes the application of patient safety principles in real-world healthcare settings through guided projects, faculty mentorship, and collaborative learning.

Each fellow will be assigned a dedicated faculty mentor who will provide guidance throughout the fellowship journey.
Every fellow will undertake a real-world patient safety improvement project.
The final project outcomes will be evaluated by a faculty panel during the capstone workshop.
Fellowship Stipend
Selected fellows will receive a stipend of INR 10,000 per month during the fellowship period.
At Commencement
50% disbursed at the commencement of the fellowship.
On Completion
Remaining 50% on successful completion including final manuscript submission.

The fellowship duration is 3 months, comprising 11 weeks of online learning and project implementation followed by a 1-week in-person capstone workshop.
The fellowship follows a hybrid format, with most activities conducted online and the final capstone workshop conducted in person.
Yes. Each fellow will be assigned an experienced faculty mentor who will provide guidance throughout the fellowship.
Yes. Successful implementation and presentation of a patient safety improvement project is a mandatory component of the fellowship.

Yes. Participants who successfully complete all fellowship requirements will receive the QUALIPS – IIPHG Fellowship Certificate in Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety.
All travel, accommodation, boarding, local transportation, and incidental expenses related to participation in the fellowship and attendance at the capstone workshop shall be borne by the participant.
Yes. QUALIPS, IIPHG, and CAHO will facilitate guidance and provide support for logistical arrangements wherever required.
No. Selection is competitive and based on the eligibility criteria, application review, and the number of fellowship positions available.
Participants must successfully complete all learning activities, assignments, project implementation, manuscript submission, mentor reviews, and capstone presentation requirements to qualify for certification and final stipend disbursement.
