We are honoured to be recognised as the 1st Runner-Up, East Zone, for the 2024 iCOMPLY Award for IPC & AMS Compliance Excellence. This recognition reflects our commitment to patient safety, quality care, and evidence-based practices. This achievement is the result of teamwork by our infection control professionals, quality department, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, pharmacists, and support staff. Their efforts included surveillance of infections and implementation of standards, precautions, hand hygiene, and waste management, reinforced through audits and training. We thank our leaders and CAHO for their support. This award strengthens our resolve to advance IPC and AMS programs.

The iComply audit system is a critical tool in promoting infection control, antimicrobial stewardship, and patient safety. At Charnock Hospital, it enabled monitoring of IPC protocols, including hand hygiene, cleanliness, PPE use, infusion practices, and waste management, ensuring timely interventions to reduce HAIs. It also supported evaluation of antimicrobial prescribing—indication, dosage, and duration—helping combat antimicrobial resistance and improve outcomes. By fostering accountability and continuous improvement, with real-time data and reporting, iComply strengthened staff education, policy refinement, and multidisciplinary collaboration. We are extremely thankful to CAHO for this opportunity, which improved our infection control practices, and to AMSP for better care.
