21st Feb, 2023, NMIMS Mumbai : Dr. Vijay Agarwal, President CAHO visited NMIMS Mumbai interacted & addressed the young Healthcare Management students about the leadership Role in achieving operational excellence in healthcare and also the importance of quality and patient safety in healthcare organisation.
NMIMS, Mumbai : The students of MBA Healthcare Management were privileged to have Dr. Vijay Agarwal, President of Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisation (@caho.india) amongst them on February 21st, 2023 who delivered a talk on “Role of healthcare leaders in achieving business and operational excellence in healthcare”. He enlightened the students by narrating his career journey from being a paediatric practitioner to a renowned leader in healthcare industry and now President of CAHO. He addressed the young audience about the evolution of healthcare systems from a transactional approach to patient-centric approach and also the importance of quality and patient safety in healthcare organisation. He also emphasised on the significance of empathy and individual brilliance to effectively run a healthcare organisation. He motivated the students on imbibing leadership skills and expertise and how to remain grounded during success and courageously deal the downfalls during the face of adversities.
